However, we all know that no matter how great you work out, run, or lift weights, eating healthy is the key to a successful fitness program. We’ve put together some of our favorite healthy snacks for you to pair with your work out so you can get the most out of your exercise!

Edamame: This yummy green bean looking treat can be a great snack on the go! It doesn’t matter if you decide to cook it or eat it raw, this snack is a great source of protein to keep your work out steady, efficient, and strong!

Eggs: Being a low-calorie snack packed with tons of protein, eggs can be a great post-work out snack or pre-work out snack. We recommend that you either hard-boil them or cook them up before hand for easy transport!

Nuts: Any kind of these tasty snacks will do. Whether you prefer almonds, cashews, or walnuts, any kind of nut is a great source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids, which help reduce inflammation!

Skim Milk Cheese Sticks: Low-fat string cheese is a great snack to half with you when you’re working out if you crave something salty afterwards. It’s high in protein and low in calories, making it the perfect treat to munch on!
